Aikatsu Friends! – 053

Oh! Whether to choose beauty marks, glasses, or fangs!

At the risk of repeating myself, Hibiki’s character, backstory, personality, and development are all perfect (and no, that’s not a reference). Her passion and love with no outlet, countless hours of convincing her heart of her true feelings, even while alone with no feedback to go by, strikes me on a personal level. And her creativity in making unique scenarios doesn’t hurt either. I want to see more and more of this, but I also don’t want to pain her. But I believe that even after she’s able to resolve it, there will be plenty more Hibiki to come.

  1. Hopefully you are not still feeling alone, but do know that you definitely have one fan that loves all of the hard work you do. Thank you! Keep up the great work.

  2. I’m actually surprised that Alicia kept reading all those samey messages for 4+ years without ever blocking Hibiki’s number. Or at least muting all notifications from her. She must be some kind of saint.

  3. I have to seriously agree. Hibiki is quite charming. Those moments where she is worrying over Alicia are quite endearing. Can’t wait to see how her and Alicia’s relationship progresses.

    • The show wants to sell us Hibiki and Alicia as friends, but on my part, I can only wonder why they even paired up the first time, since Hibiki doesn’t seem to know the first thing about her.

I’m sure their relationship will progress in due time, but for now all I can see is Hibiki getting worked up for reasons even she couldn’t understand if someone asked. Keep sending messages for four years, but you never even asked yourself what your friend likes? That’s some Elza’s mom level of carelessness right there.

Sometimes I wonder why these Aikatsu top-of-the-line idols are always so out of touch with reality.

  4. I really, really like what they’re doing with Hibiki. She’s incredibly talented, and has a fun personality. Her passion and single-mindedness make her really shine as an individual idol, yet give her a lot to learn when it comes to Friends, and I think it’s neat we get to watch her learn and struggle right off the bat.

To contrast, I love Elza a lot but it takes a while for her story to build up, and to be honest, the early stages of that portion of Stars was really difficult for me to watch. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with that, but I’m really happy they’re not taking a similar narrative route.
