Sakura Trick – 05

The Japanese do what they do best this episode, and rape yet another classic western tale. Originally, the queen is not a witch, was never a witch, never met a witch, and never dressed as a witch. She lived and died as the selfish person she was born as. Likewise, the hunter and the prince are generally not the same person. They also seemed to forget seven rather important characters, who were even in the original Grimms’ Fairy Tales.

Also, we’re having some kind of argument about green tea versus matcha. Matcha is a specific type of green tea powder, prepared in a unique fashion and used in a lot of different types of cooking (and is also Yuu’s favorite flavor). Matcha latte is like a regular latte but made with matcha instead of coffee. In any case, it’s about whether the word is common or not, and it’s in the gray (green?) zone. Whatever.

  1. Thanks !

For the 1st screenshot, I waited for it all the episode. At the end, I was a little disappointed to not see it 🙁 (or I’m just blind)

Otherwise, good episode. I think it’s the best series of the season.

      • Let me explain a little more :

I’ve seen this scene, but with different subtitles. I expected the subtitles were those on the screen with maybe a humorous situation after, but no.

        It’s not this dramatic, thought.

        • Sorry, it was just a joke to post here. We’d never use “pantsu” in an actual script (inb4 some obscure situation where it actually fits).

  3. Smartass police to the rescue.
The Queen was, in fact, a witch or at least knew some witchcraft.
“Und mit Hexenkünsten, die sie verstand, machte sie einen giftigen Kamm.”
    translates to
“And with witchcraft, which she understood, she made a poisonous comb.”
