Autumn 2013 Plans

Do I look like a normal human to you?

Do I look like a normal human to you?

The decision has been made: Mezashite! will be subbing KyoAni’s new anime, Kyoukai no Kanata, next season.  And this time, the chuunibyou delusions are real.  Too bad they didn’t keep the concept art…

That’s all we’ve got for you right now.  We don’t think this is going to change, but other anime may be picked up or dropped as we see fit.  Maybe.  Don’t ask.

  1. I dont know if this was mentioned anywhere, but will you guys continue with Aikatsu!? Since it is ending in two episodes and starting up again right away.

  3. Was just thinking about watching Kyoukai no Kanata so I came here and this notice made me really happy. KyoAni’s shows FTW. :3

  5. I don’t mean to sound like a dick, but another “high profile” group is planning to sub this. It almost seems a waste when your efforts could be put to another show that isn’t getting attention. That said, I don’t know which show isn’t getting said ‘attention’, nor the reasoning behind choosing this. Either way, I’ll be looking forward to your releases regardless.

    • Whoever’s translating chooses what show we do, and Akatsukin ended up deciding on Kyoukai no Kanata. That was before said “high profile” group said they’d do it, so maybe we’ll change our plans.

There’s still the silly thought of “losing face” when you announce you’ll do something and then you change your mind when someone else decides to do it, though, so who knows?

      • That’s understandable. I hesitate to ask which series you would consider picking up, so I’ll sit tight and see what comes about!

        • I decided to do KnK knowing that it would likely be picked up by a more established group and/or CR. We do put a lot of thought into what series we do, and this was the result we ended up with. There were a couple others out there, but it probably won’t change at this time.
