Gokukoku no Brynhildr – 10

That must be the lewdest math book ever...

So apparently the taking-cold-baths diet is a thing in Japan, which is why Murakami tells Kazumi to take a cold bath when she asks him to help her prepare for the beach in a scene that otherwise makes no sense. I remember wanting to say something else, but I forgot what it was. Oh yeah, the fucking new OP. Who knows what they’re saying?

And this episode’s title (Proof of Life) is the second that shares its name with a song that mirrors what happens in the show. In this case, it’s the Kagamine Rin song by… Hitoshizuku-P?! What?! I didn’t know it was written by Hitoshizuku-P!

Episode 10: Torrent

(spoiler TL note after)

The scene where Neko tries to cover up her nescience of karaoke again goes something like this, literally:

Murakami: You’ve gone to karaoke before, haven’t you?
Neko: Of course I have! That’s just a bath-bucket (oke) with no water in it, right? I prefer bathtubs myself…

Neko logic is that karaoke is an oke (bucket, and in this case, one of these) that is kara (empty). And in case you were curious, the oke in karaoke is normally short for “orchestra”.

  1. “Oh yeah, the fucking new OP. Who knows what they’re saying?”

When I saw the new OP and didn’t see a translation, my first thought was “I don’t blame them.”

    Thanks!

  3. I see so they are skipping Skad’s arc end going straight to Valkyria I wonder what will be of the last 3 episodes.
Do they really intend to compress all 50 chapters of her arc on just 3 episodes?
